Regardless of your skin type, it is essential to cleanse your face every day. Beautiful skin begins with clean skin. In the morning, cleaning your skin eliminates the sebum and dead skin that has accumulated overnight. In the evening, it is necessary to cleanse your face to eliminate all impurities and traces of makeup. When you’re tired, it can be easy to skip this step which is nevertheless indispensable for keeping your skin healthy and attractive.
But it is important to cleanse your face with the right product so you do not damage your skin’s hydrolipidic film, which protects it against external stresses. And it isn’t always easy to know how to perform this essential step to keep your skin looking great.
First, you should not wash your face with tap water, in particular when you have sensitive or dry skin. Tap water is often calcareous and chlorinated, which tends to stress and irritate the skin, causing redness and itching. Cleansing gels and foams that fatigue the cutaneous barrier over time are also not recommended. Rinse-free cleansers are best. The important thing is to cleanse the face gently.
Ideally, in the morning you should swab your face with a cotton pad soaked in a toner or micellar water to eliminate dead cells. Gently massage your face and neck using small circular motions, then remove the excess product using a tissue. Finally, once your face is thoroughly cleansed, it’s time to revive your skin with a light mist of thermal or floral water. Your face will look more toned.
In the evening, for dry or combination skin, remove make-up with a cream or oil. For oily skin, do not suffocate the skin with oily textures. Remove make-up with a simple cleansing lotion. If the make-up is light, a single swab is enough. Otherwise, swab a second time to eliminate all traces of makeup. As in the morning, you can finish this ritual with a spritz of thermal water to soothe the skin.
Your serum, day cream and night cream are much more effective when applied to clean skin.
